Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Joule and Samuels: Page 2, line 19: Delete "15" Insert "11" Page 2, line 24: Delete "11" Insert "seven" Page 2, line 26, through Page 3, line 7: Delete all material and insert: "(A) one member with expertise in climatology or knowledgeable in the area of oceanography; (B) one member who is knowledgeable about Alaska's economy; (C) one member who is knowledgeable in the area of land management or restoration of wildlife and natural resources; (D) one member experienced in arctic and sub-arctic engineering requirements for public highway and facility construction and maintenance; (E) a recognized local expert representing affected Alaska communities; (F) one member who represents affected resource development industries; (G) one member who represents the affected tourism industries; and be it" Representative Joule moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The question being: "Shall CSHCR 30(FIN) am pass the House?" Representative Kelly later gave notice of reconsideration of the vote on CSHCR 30(FIN) am, and reconsideration was taken up then.
